    This page explains what happens to personal information when you use afrexai.com. It describes how the website actually behaves rather than restating general practice.

    What we collect directly

    Afrex AI collects personal information in three places on this website, and all of them are things you choose to submit:

    • The chat assistant, Jasper. If you use the chat on our site, we store what you type and the details you share so our team can follow up. We use them only to respond to you.
    • The newsletter sign-up form. Your name, company and email address, submitted to our email provider so we can send the newsletter.
    • The strategy call booking. Whatever you enter on the booking form, which is hosted by Calendly, so we can schedule and prepare for the call.

    We use this information to reply to you, to hold the meeting you booked, and to send the newsletter you asked for. We do not sell it.

    What this site does not do

    At the time of the last update above, this website runs no advertising pixels and sets no advertising cookies. It does use the HubSpot tracking code, described in the list below. If that changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.

    Third-party services this site uses

    Some parts of the site load content from other companies. When that happens, your browser contacts them directly and they receive the technical details that any web request includes, such as your IP address and browser type. Each one is listed here with what it is for.

    OpenRouter

    Used for: Writing the replies of the chat assistant, Jasper.

    Receives: The messages you type in the chat are sent to a language model through OpenRouter so it can reply.

    The chat is an AI assistant. A person on our team follows up on every enquiry.

    Gamut and HubSpot

    Used for: Following up when you leave your details in the chat.

    Receives: Your name, email, company, what you need and the chat conversation go to our Gamut agent, which records them in our HubSpot CRM.

    Our team uses this record to reply to you.

    HubSpot tracking code

    Used for: Seeing which pages are visited, and receiving the details you submit in the newsletter pop-up and the money check quiz.

    Receives: Your browser loads a script from HubSpot that sets cookies, such as hubspotutk and __hstc, and records the pages you view here. If you submit one of those forms, HubSpot links those page views to your name and email.

    The chat is not collected this way. Chat details reach HubSpot only through our own server, as described above.

    Calendly

    Used for: Booking strategy calls.

    Receives: The name, email address, and any answers you enter on the booking form, plus the scheduled time.

    Calendly pages open on a Calendly domain and are governed by the Calendly privacy policy.

    ActiveCampaign

    Used for: The email newsletter sign-up form.

    Receives: The name, company and email address you submit, and the fact that you submitted it from this site.

    Submitting the form sends these details to ActiveCampaign. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

    Substack

    Used for: Publishing and hosting the newsletter, plus the subscribe box on the Insights page.

    Receives: Anything you enter into the embedded Substack subscribe box goes directly to Substack.

    The embedded box is an iframe served by Substack, so it can set its own cookies.

    RSS2JSON

    Used for: Reading the public Substack feed so posts can be listed on the Insights page.

    Receives: Your browser requests the public feed. No personal detail is sent by us.

    The request carries the usual technical information any web request includes, such as your IP address.

    Senja

    Used for: Showing client testimonials on the homepage.

    Receives: Your browser loads the testimonial widget from Senja, which involves your IP address and browser details.

    The widget loads only when you scroll near the testimonials section.

    YouTube

    Used for: Playing the client videos on the homepage.

    Receives: Video thumbnails load from YouTube. The player itself loads from youtube-nocookie.com only when you press play.

    Once a video plays, YouTube handles it under its own privacy policy.

    These companies process the information under their own privacy policies. We recommend reading them if you want the detail of how each one operates.

    Server logs

    This site is served by a standard web server, which keeps access logs in the ordinary way. Those logs contain the requested address, the time, your IP address, and your browser identifier. They exist to keep the site running and secure.

    Your choices

    • Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.
    • You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted.
    • You can decline to submit either form. Nothing on the site requires you to provide personal information in order to read it.

    To make any of these requests, email info@afrexai.com. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honour requests made under those laws.
